I was almost correct. Went to 13,80... Then slammed hard down. People this index is completely rigged. So even you buy long term and hold or you wait for the big boys to let it go free. Then buy

Set up is terrible for today.  I'm stuck riding it mostly out, as I can't trade this morning, but maybe try to make up a bit this afternoon with some day trades.  Also no time to look up proper historical data on this pretty rare pattern, but very similar set ups on 11/25/16, 10/05/17, and 10/3/18.  I'll be back long by end of day, but this is getting dicey.

If today's line is substantially flatter than yesterday's it's one of the higher odds plays to go long on the vix again.  Chance that it acyually dips more tomorrow, but that just leads to an even higher probability of a vix spike on Monday and increases the odds of  big jump as well.  Waiting for eod numbers, but looks like tvix will be a really good play.

Pretty decent two day profit from svxy.  Switching sides now, current pattern suggests a move back up tomorrow, but not the most certain so only using vxxb.  Also a good possibility tomorrow could be a one day spike if it does go up.

Dave Dudar Sorry, meant back into svxy to short the vix.  If you're wanting to play a rise in volatility and don't want to deal with options tvix is the biggests risk/reward. Followed by uvix and vxxb.

Looks like I'll get back into svxy to hold over night, but I'm going to be extra careful and maybe exit early with what profit it gives.  These big drops seem to pop back up as often as they continue down, often with a lot of movement.  Still above the bottom bollinger band, and lately the bollinger bands have been good indicators here.

Somehow they calculated VIX to have closed at 14.91 Friday? The open price of 16.33 looks much more like the actual close. I think they grab the price from a VX contract or something, otherwise it doesn't make a tonne of sense (that or manipulation).

Crud, getting called away when the market is just getting started.  Sold svxy for +2% and no idea what I'm going to miss out on.  At least I'll be back to get back in before close.  This s ucks.

Bounced off the top Bollinger band and the 200 dma on Friday.  After 4 straight days up I would expect at least a 50% retracement and very possibly more.  As always, watch the vix constantly, it moves quickly and unexpectedly on a regular basis.
