Sorry Global K ... just seeing your post. I still like NEM to have some exposure to "gold." My current challenge would be the condition of the broader equity markets right now. NEM could be vulnerable to equity weakness, should the commodity move higher, or NEM could lag the move. NEM's 1.62% yield isn't great, but a little icing. out of 4 stars, I'd say 3. Anglogold another option if you don't mind volatility.

Aji, i hate hearing you held the position that long. You could have scaled out of the position at the highs and set the remaining shares on a DRIP for future rises. This would have created a free trade scenario and reduce you capital risk exposure to 0%

NEM does not follow gold price... it feels like a manipulated stock too... only buy now and hold until the gold mania phase arrives.. then sell.. dont look at anything in between because it won't make sense..

I bought 500 shares @$36.00 on 8-9-18 when gold was 1219 thinking when gold came back to 1300 I would make some money. Gold is now up $100 from when I bought NEM is still down 2 dollars....worthless stock, they love to go down, any chance they get, they will go down.

Takes $35 in gold to make NEM go up $2. Takes a loss of $2.50 in Gold to make NEM drop $1.30, because NEM is garbage

I've been hearing that since 2001 when this stock was in the low 20s. And where is it now? The low 20s. I'm so glad I bought physical gold and not shares of this do-nothing stock.

Better sell both the stock and gold. Smart money is completely out of gold, and gold has a major top every four years. You can buy gold back at 800
