Actually I think that, in order to continue going up, little longer term consolidation is needed, 1-2 days. And pretty much hold these levels. Anything else situation, and I will look short opportunities

Truong Dung The long term downtrend has not changed for many years. You may refer to hourly and daily trends which are changing by nature. I'd be very nervous trading something without the basic knowledge about trend following....

I take long when its cheap and sell away when enough profit. I just only care about exchange rate and physical coffee supply/ demand. For me this price still cheap but exchange rate support for short. That is why i confused

Truong Dung This may work on occasion but there is no way you can make it a profitable trading system otherwise everybody trading would be rich. You are confused because selling/buying pressure are not necessarily related to fundamentals but market psychology. And your only chance to get a clue about market psychology is to get into price action analysis.

ShortDude I can't attach anything, doesn't work for some reason. Take the chart in daily and look at RSI between last two tops at $106 & $107 yesterday. RSI is way lower that what it should be. The only thing is that we have relatively solid moves and RSI divergence are not highly reliable when we move quickly. Just a thought anyway.

Recent hourly uptrend has been lost so technically if we also break $106, $102.5 is very much possible without challenging uptrend in daily. Considering short from below $106.

Long position closed on second attempt to break $106, price actually went testing the famous $107.5-$108 zone but I couldn't be on the screen before market close and don't like to be in position with long so close to major resistance area..From here, I see two scenarios: 1st we break straight through $108 and move toward $120. 2nd we accumulate under $107.5 with a series of higher lows then break out in volume. We have closed on a higher high so to me, short potential is very limited and not worth trying..I'd love 2nd scenario to happen because it will be the trigger of a powerful move up, much better than straight break out that could reverse sharply.

ShortDude I'm not convinced the move up is only linked to weather forecast / currency moves. Price action shows that we have a switch in pressure with buyers consistently buying pull backs at higher price. Seeing this lower wouldn't be significant but near a major resistance, it is indication that something is going on and that some big players are positioning for the long run. I'll play this with caution with strict SL management as well as minimum exposure outside market hours.

Andreas Jaska If this is true, then this pop is still nothing about fundamentals and will be short lived. I have so many rewards, being short from $115, that now I can wait on sidelines for my time. It will come soon.

Emre Ileri I just feel more safe to be short as I can always wait with my position and use contango. Beside that I think that any bigger spike is not sustainable with current fundamentals. That's all. Now as I am not sure about direction in short term I am on sidelines. It this so big problem?
