sas sap  no one is making fun of the honorable profession of bartending , 2 of my best friends own bars and a good bartender is almost priceless. we`r making fun of you stating you base your trading on what a few drunk patrons said , whatever their position in the company is. a good trader does his DD , then he does more DD and then he does a little more DD , then he can listen to what drunken patrons have to say.

Marcus Cicero  hi Marcus I kinda disagree with you the 3-6 month thing but I`m with you 100% on  the sentiment. I know you trade E&Ps sometimes which is all I do and come Mon. I`m buying 5-10k shares each of RRC , GPOR , AR and SWN at more or less current prices and play them from there. I`m done with oil for now you can cut the fog there with a knife.

Joe Perez I am not bullish on oil. Natural gas is one quarter of the price of oil per unit of energy and emits half the CO2. It is the future and oil is not. I think the gas producers are the way to go. I really like AR at this price. Monday is RRC earnings.

Marcus Cicero I was only talking about the coming week. I know earnings are coming for all the E&Ps I trade and AR is the one I like the least but this week I think I can make money on it and I won`t hold it through earnings. I think GPOR will hold up the best in this miserable Q for ng.

Nat Gas Weather not bad, tried them out in past. For Nov.1 EIA -- Looking at their predictions, so the GFS Ensemble right now would be very bullish, almost -27 to 5 year average, and the European Ensemble would be less bullish, around right on the 5 year average.

The cool weather we got last week was a fraction of what`s forecast to happen this week. Last week it mostly affected the Rockies, the northern plains and a bit of NE. This week the forecast is lows in the 30s and 20s from Kansas to the Cascades and NM to Canada all week then moving east into Minn and Wis by mid week. Dixie will see lows move into the 40s , the coolest temps they`v seen this season. I can see ng move to about 2.50 by mid week and if enough of the record amount of shorts in ng decide to go long then maybe 2.60. I think it would take a major winter event like lows in the teens across the snow belt for a week to get close to 3 bucks.

If we get a drop down on open, I'd like to take a long for week. But balances, stripping out weather are still weak, so once this cold shot passes, we back to +20  to 5 year average again?

The p.o.s. mm increased shorts by 36k to 302k whereas longs remained flat at 105k. With winter at our doorstep the greedy p.o.s. mm could easily be f..... in the coming weeks.

Since the latest COT data for the MM is 10/15, will be interesting to see if they are exiting shorts over the last few days.  The high short ratio must be unwinding...
