Market is expecting to have some of half of the lost barrels by tomorrow, if they fail to say it or do so the price will spike again so fairly quickly. Some analysts say this is unlikely to happen (that the half barrels will be back tomorrow)

Also there is an expectation of the release of SPR from both US and Saudi. But will it happen? If not, then panic will come back again and push prices higher

IOC offered alternative Saudi crude grade - source . . * Refiners in India, N. Asia offered full vols for Oct - sources . . * No indications of disruptions in South Korea - source (Adds details).  Saudi Aramco has informed at least six refiners in Asia that it will supply full allocated volumes of crude oil in October following attacks on Saudi oil facilities on the weekend, although at least one has been told of a grade switch partially. . . Saudi Arabia has said it would be able to meet oil customers’ demand from its ample storage. But this is the first indication that its supply to top consumers in Asia - who consume more than 70% of total Saudi crude exports - will largely remain stable. . . Three state-owned refineries in India - Indian Oil Corp , Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd will receive full allocated volumes of crude oil from Saudi in October, three industry sources told Reuters.

From one side Saudi has an advantage of this attack which is a higher price for Brent (they can hedge future cargoes?) on the other side they have a big disadvantage which is loosing market share to other countries and thus selling less oil now and in the future

Saudi Aramco has offered Indian Oil CorpNSE -1.71 % Arab Heavy crude oil instead of Arab Light following an attack on its oil facilities over the weekend, an industry source told Reuters on Tuesday. ..IOC will receive full allocated volumes from Saudi Aramco in September and October, the source said, declining to be named as he was not authorised to speak with the media. ..However Aramco has said they would give some volumes of Arab heavy instead of Arab mix oil, the source added.  .. ..Read more at:.//economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/71165013.cms?utm_source=contentofinterest&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=cppst

Any negotiations with the United States would mean an "imposition" of Washington's demand's on Iran, Tehran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said in a tweet on Tuesday..Khamenei stated: "1. Negotiation with U.S. means imposition of their demands on Iran 2. Negotiation means a show of the success of U.S.’s policy of maximum pressure. That’s why the respected President, FM & others unanimously declared we won’t negotiate with U.S. bilaterally or multilaterally."

The attack on Saudi oil facilities on Saturday not only knocked out over half of the country’s production, it also removed almost all the spare capacity available to compensate for any major disruption in oil supplies worldwide. ..The attack cut 5.7 million barrels per day (bpd) of Saudi crude output, over 5 percent of the world’s supply. But the attack also constrained Saudi Arabia’s ability to use the more than 2 million bpd of spare oil production capacity it held for emergencies. ..The kingdom has for years been the only major oil producing country that has kept significant spare capacity that it could start up quickly to compensate for any deficiency in supply caused by war or natural disaster. ..Most other countries cannot afford to drill expensive wells and install infrastructure, then maintain it idle...- Reuters
